Thank you for visiting Financial Reporting in
Governement. We are very interested in knowing
what you think of this material! Please let us know, and
feel free to offer suggestions or other comments.
Is the material you offer available for CPE credit? [Please advise details, including fees]. Is there an update available in the internal auditing area which according to the text dated March 1998, was still "under construction". I am a federal auditor doing audits of localities. Thanks for your response.

Thank you so much for putting your Governmental Fund Accounting Class on the Internet. I am currently enrolled in Advanced Accounting II which is Fund Accounting at Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration. I am working toward a masters in professional accountancy degree. The text book we are using is called ESSENTIALS OF ACCOUNTING FOR GOVERNMENTAL AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS by: Engstrom/Hay
Since I am almost 45 years old, I have a hard time reading the small print in the book. Your presentations are much clearer and easier to understand. I am going to supplement my regular assigned reading and homework with your program.
Thanks again.

I would enjoy taking the classes over the internet. If this is possible, please e-mail fundwiz@aol.com. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Sacco's ease of explanations. I am the Director of Marketing and Support for a leading fund accounting software firm, but never received formal education with regards to fund accounting. I deal with auditors every day on behalf of our clients, and would love the added value of course study.
Thank you in advance for any input you can offer.

A colleague sent me your homepage address together with your
Financial Reporting in Government course on the internet.
I teach a senior-level elective course on this topic, so am
familiar with the issues and the controversies. Your
internet course is very impressive. I believe you and I
see eye-to-eye on the conceptual issues. I am interested in
experimenting with your internet course as a way to deliver
the goods in addition to the traditional classroom work.
Do you have a proprietary interest in your work? Is it
available for my use? Do you intend to maintain the
site and materials through the Fall, 1997? Can we explore
some possibilities? Please advise.

This is a very impressive work. I am researching and teaching nonprofits, and your book is very interesting to me. I will take a closer look to be able to compare with what is appropriate for Québec and Canada. If you do not mind, I will contact you again from time to time when I need more information. Congratulations for this work.

will continue to review and submit comments. looks good
so far. I like the graphics, section layouts and linkages,
and the quizzes with immediate feedback. The typographical
errors are somewhat distracting, however; perhaps there is
some automated way to spell check or otherwise edit?

A) Recommend a corresponding text (if you haven't already)
B) Do you cover "total cost" accounting, which privatization experts recommend?

A very useful work! I found out about it from a FinanceNet notice.
Since I am working fulltime for a water utility and parttime
on an MPA degree in public finance I was particularly pleased
to see that you will be covering the enterprise funds as well as
comparing directly the two accounting approaches. I look forward
to the completed final chapters. I have also notified the public
finance advisor at USC about your text.

John. Congratulations on your innovative approach to teaching. Havn't been too active in the academic world since I got the DPA (with your help). The degree has done wonders for me in my government consulting role.
